Taking place in February 2024, during a period marked by crackdowns on political and cultural freedom of expression, deepening social divisions, and a dramatic rise in far-right forces, the 15th ALFILM Festival visual identity draws inspiration from traditional Palestinian embroidery. Enriched by modular typography crafted from stitched patterns, the design seamlessly blends tradition with contemporary aesthetics. This emblem of cultural identity and collective strength symbolizes the resilience and solidarity of diasporic communities, weaving a metaphorical “Brandmauer”—a wall of unity and support.

The visual identiy was also reproduced in an audiovisual installation “Threads of Solidarity” running in film theaters as a prologue and interlude to film screenings. In collaboration with Salim Jawaied (animation) and Ziad Fayed (sound),
